Bixby Choristers Hit High-Achieving Notes in Contests

Fourteen Bixby High singers earned superior ratings at the recent regional and state Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association contests.

Fifteen others received excellent or good ratings in in solo performances, ensembles and music theory.

Junior Becky Walters feels that, “Performing at solo and ensemble makes me more prepared as a musician” junior Becky Walters says. “Because of solo and ensemble, I can go into college feeling more confident about my abilities as a vocalist.”

Senior Emma Childs adds, “The state music theory test prepared me for my future in music education.”

The choir members are directed by Connie Coleman.
